Terms of Service
Effective 19 September 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Emberskill LLC, doing business as KD Vector ("KD Vector", "we", "us"), a New York limited liability company, about your use of VectorForm, the template builder and rendering API at vectorform.app (the "Service"). By creating an account, signing in, or using the API, you agree to them. If you use the Service for an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you may do so.
1. Who may use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age at which you can agree to these terms where you live, a parent or guardian must agree for you. You must give accurate account information and keep it current.
2. Accounts and workspaces
You sign in with an email link or a Google account. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your email and sign-in provider secure.
A workspace is shared with the people its owners and admins invite. Workspace owners and admins can see and manage everything in the workspace, including templates, themes, assets, custom blocks and workspace API keys, and can remove members. The person who created a workspace pays for it, and their plan decides what the workspace can do.
3. Your content
You own the templates, themes, images, fonts, PDFs, custom blocks and data you put into the Service or send to it for rendering ("Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, process, render and transmit your Content only as needed to provide the Service to you and the people you share it with, and to keep it safe. That licence ends when your Content is deleted, except for copies in routine backups until they roll off.
You are responsible for your Content. You confirm that:
- you have the rights needed to use it and to let us process it as described here;
- it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights, and is not unlawful, deceptive or harmful;
- fonts, images and other materials you upload are licensed for the use you make of them, including embedding in rendered PDFs and emails;
- where your Content or render data includes personal information about other people, you have a lawful basis to give it to us and the Privacy Policy describes how we handle it.
We do not claim ownership of your Content, and we do not use it to train machine learning models or for advertising.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- send unsolicited bulk email, phishing messages or anything that impersonates another person or organization;
- create or distribute malware, or embed scripts, active content or tracking in templates beyond what the Service permits;
- break the law, including data protection, consumer protection, anti-spam and export laws that apply to you;
- probe, scan or test the Service's security without written permission, interfere with its operation, or bypass usage limits, plan limits or access controls;
- resell or sublicense the Service, or use it to build a competing product by copying its features or output;
- reverse engineer the Service except where the law allows it regardless of this term.
We may suspend or remove Content or accounts that break these rules, and will tell you when we do unless the law or a safety concern prevents it.
5. The API and API keys
API keys are secrets. Anyone holding a key can act with its scopes until it is revoked or expires, so keep keys out of client-side code, public repositories and shared documents, and revoke a key the moment you think it has leaked. You are responsible for all requests made with your keys.
The API is versioned under /v1. We may add endpoints, fields and optional parameters at any time. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before removing or changing the behaviour of a documented endpoint in a way that would break a correct integration, except where a change is needed for security or legal reasons.
We may apply rate limits and fair-use limits to keep the Service reliable for everyone. Sustained traffic beyond what your plan is meant for may be throttled, and we will contact you before restricting an account for that reason.
6. Plans, payment and cancellation
The Service has a free plan and paid plans (Pro, Team and Enterprise). What each plan includes, and its price, is shown on the pricing page when you subscribe. Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.
- Billing. Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly cycle and renew automatically at the end of each cycle until cancelled. By subscribing you authorise us to charge the payment method on file for each renewal, plus any applicable taxes.
- Cancelling. You can cancel from your account at any time. The plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for, then drops to the free plan. Content that exceeds free-plan limits stays stored but features outside the free plan stop working until you subscribe again.
- Refunds. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund or we say otherwise in writing. If we materially reduce what a plan includes during a period you have paid for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part.
- Price changes. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. A change takes effect at your next renewal after that notice.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails we will retry it and tell you. If it still fails after 14 days we may downgrade the account to the free plan.
- Taxes. Prices exclude sales tax, VAT and similar taxes unless stated. Where we must collect them, they are added to your invoice.
Enterprise customers with a signed order form are governed by that order form where it differs from this section.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, rendering engine, editor, built-in block library, design and documentation, belongs to KD Vector and its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. You get a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use it under these terms and nothing more. Rendered output produced from your Content is yours.
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without obligation to you.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. Where you use the Service to process personal data about your own customers or users, you are the controller of that data and we act as your processor. A data processing agreement is available on request at support@kdvector.com.
9. Availability and support
We work to keep the Service available and will schedule maintenance outside busy hours where we can, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation on the free, Pro or Team plans. Service level commitments, if any, are set out in an Enterprise order form. Support is by email at support@kdvector.com.
We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service as a whole we will give at least 60 days' notice and a way to export your Content.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from the account page. That permanently removes your profile, your personal templates, themes, assets, custom blocks and API keys, and any workspace where you were the only member. Workspaces with other members stay with them; hand over ownership first if you are the only owner.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if your account has been inactive on the free plan for more than 12 months (after emailing you), or if we must do so by law. Where practical we will give you notice and a chance to export your Content. Sections 3 (licence to us, for the period before deletion), 7, 11, 12, 13 and 15 survive termination.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that rendered emails will be accepted or displayed identically by every mail client, that PDFs will meet any particular compliance standard, or that the Service will meet your requirements.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, KD VECTOR AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS IN ANY 12-MONTH PERIOD IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE FEES YOU PAID US IN THAT PERIOD AND ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, so some may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify KD Vector against third-party claims, and the reasonable costs of them, arising from your Content, your use of the Service in breach of these terms, or your breach of law. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you control the defence, provided you do not settle in a way that admits fault on our part without our consent.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we will email the address on your account and show a notice in the Service at least 14 days before they take effect, unless the change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the new terms; if you do not, delete your account before then.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing, either side will email the other a description of the dispute and allow 30 days to resolve it. Either side may seek injunctive relief in any competent court to protect its intellectual property.
16. General
These terms, the Privacy Policy and any order form are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. If a term is unenforceable the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor of our business. Neither side is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. Notices to us go to support@kdvector.com; notices to you go to the email on your account.
